simple, standard installation.

Installed like a hot water system and connected directly to town water pressure, the unit automatically refills as water is used, with no pumps, filters or fuss needed. The Seydisfjord unit can be installed outside, often under an eave, or in a well-ventilated plant room, positioned within 5 to 10 metres of the showerhead. From there, insulated pipework runs to your shower location.

What happens after you order?

Here's how it works — a six-step process from order to installation.

Step 1

Order

The Fjord Ice Shower is available in
two colour options, Stone and
Magnetite. You can purchase directly
through our website or speak with
one of our plumbers or refrigeration
technicians if you’d like help with
installation or operation questions.
Once ordered, your Ice Shower is
scheduled for dispatch and prepared
for delivery. Current lead time is 8
weeks.

Step 2

Engage Trades

Before installation, you will need to arrange licensed trades. Every project requires a plumber to manage water supply, piping, and safety valves, and an electrician to provide a dedicated power connection. Our team can outline all requirements so your trades arrive ready to install.

Step 3

Prepare Site

While we build your Ice Shower, you
can prepare the space. This includes
ensuring a solid, level foundation,
having mains water lines available,
and confirming suitable drainage and
ventilation. All connected piping must be
insulated to prevent condensation,
and we recommend keeping pipe
runs to a maximum of 15 metres for
ideal performance.

Step 4

Install

Your Ice Shower arrives similar to a hot water system. A licensed plumber will unbox and position the unit, then connect it to the mains water supply using 15 mm copper piping. On the inlet, the system requires a stop tap, a non-return valve, a 500 kPa pressure limiting valve, and a cold-water expansion valve. On the outlet, all pipework must be insulated to prevent moisture ingress, dripping, and potential damage.

Step 5

Set Up

After plumbing installation, a licensed electrician will connect the Ice Shower to a weatherproof isolator. Once powered, simply set your preferred temperature. The shower cools as low as 3 degrees and adjusts automatically from there. It’s a simple, reliable set-and-forget system designed for everyday use.

Step 6

Service

Regular servicing keeps your Ice Shower operating at peak performance. Residential units benefit from an annual check of seals, fittings, filters, and temperature control. Commercial sites may service every six to twelve months depending on usage. A standard service includes cleaning, calibration, and a full system inspection. With nationwide support available, help is always close at hand.

built to last, using premium materials.

We only use the highest quality materials, selected for their ability to perform in freezing temperatures and demanding environments. Every component is chosen with care to ensure long-term durability, energy efficiency, and a premium experience with every shower.

Stainless Steel Tank

Highly resistant to corrosion, rust, and chemical exposure, our stainless steel is built for longevity in cold, wet, and high-use environments. Used for the internal pressurised tank, it forms the core of the Seydisfjord's durable cold chamber.

Powder-Coated Aluminium

Corrosion-resistant and naturally strong, our powder coated aluminium offers long-term structural integrity without unnecessary weight. It forms the entire outer frame of the Seydisfjord, ensuring rigid strength without adding bulk or risk of rust.

Copper

Strong, pressure-rated, and highly conductive, copper ensures efficient cooling and long-term reliability in every refrigeration circuit.

Dulux Duratec Powder Coat

Durable, UV-resistant, and made for Australian conditions, our Dulux Duratec powder coat protects against fading, corrosion, and surface wear. It delivers a refined, architectural finish that looks sharp and lasts for years.

High-Density Insulation

Our insulation is a chemically set, closed-cell polyurethane that locks in cold, repels moisture, and improves energy efficiency.

smarter cooling with our inverter technology.

Inverter technology takes the Seydisfjord's performance to the next level. Unlike traditional systems that constantly cycle on and off, our variable-speed compressor adjusts output in real time based on cooling demand. This means faster cooldowns, greater efficiency, and quieter operation. Perfect for focused recovery and high-traffic use alike.

By dynamically modulating power, the Seydisfjord maintains precise temperatures without overworking the system. The result is a more stable, responsive water reserve that uses less energy, extends component life, and stays whisper-quiet even under pressure.

inspired by the eastern fjords of iceland

Tucked between steep mountains in Iceland’s east, Seyðisfjörður is a fjord rich in history and shaped by raw, untouched nature. Once a key trading port and now a haven for artists and adventurers, the village sits at the end of a winding valley where nature still sets the pace.

Each spring, as the snow melts in the highlands above, ice-cold water rushes down the cliffs, forming hundreds of waterfalls that spill through the rocky hillsides.

The Seydisfjord Ice Shower captures that same purity and power. It’s like bringing a Nordic waterfall into your space at the turn of a tap.

Frequently Asked Questions

A few common questions we’re often asked about the Seydisfjord Ice Shower.
The Seydisfjord ice shower system is a mains-connected cold water solution designed to deliver consistent, ice-cold showers on demand. Operating under standard town water pressure, the system incorporates integrated control and safety components for reliable, compliant performance. A 160-litre insulated tank is maintained at a consistently cold temperature, ensuring immediate availability and stable output during repeated use. The ice shower must be installed by a licensed plumber. All pipework, tapware, and shower heads are selected by the client and installed by a licensed plumber engaged by the client, allowing full flexibility in layout, finish, and shower configuration. Designed for wellness spaces, performance facilities, and premium private installations, the ice shower system delivers a powerful cold exposure experience with clean design and effortless daily use.
The ice shower is installed and treated like a hot water system and must be installed by a licensed plumber. It connects directly to town water and is installed as a permanent, plumbed-in fixture. The system includes one water inlet and two chilled water outlet options.
For best performance, the unit should be installed in a well-ventilated space. Most installations are outdoors, typically under an eave, similar to a heat pump hot water system. The unit does not need to be visible and can be concealed, provided ventilation requirements are met. Fully enclosed or unventilated spaces are not recommended.
The ice shower has a 160-litre capacity. It supports up to 20 short ice showers per hour, based on typical exposure times of 10–15 seconds per user. Actual throughput will vary depending on shower duration and usage patterns.
