Privacy Policy

Who we are

Fjord Wellness Pty Ltd ACN 662 905 982 as trustee for the Fjord Wellness Unit Trust, trading as “Fjord”, “Fjord Ice Baths” and “Fjord Wellness” (“Fjord”, “we”, “us”), of Burleigh Heads, Gold Coast, Queensland.

We design and manufacture cold-water wellness products, including but not limited to ice baths, ice showers and chillers. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

  • Contact and identity details: name, email, phone, delivery and billing addresses, and business details for commercial customers.
  • Order and product information: what you purchased, quotes, invoices, delivery details, product serial numbers, installation addresses, warranty registrations, commissioning records, and site information you provide.
  • Payment information: processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not see or store your full card number.
  • Support and safety records: service requests, warranty claims, incident reports, and correspondence with our team.
  • Website data: device and usage information collected through cookies and analytics (pages visited, approximate location, referral source), and your use of tools such as our configurator and 3D model downloads. You can manage cookies in your browser; some site features may not work without them.
  • Marketing data: your subscription preferences and interactions with our emails, if you opt in.

We collect this directly from you (orders, forms, email, phone), from your builder or installer where they act for you (for example, on Inbuilt projects), and automatically through the website.

Why we collect it

To provide quotes and process orders; deliver, position, install and commission products; register and administer warranties; provide service, support, spare parts and consumables; contact you with safety notices and recall information (an important purpose: please keep your details current); comply with our legal obligations (tax, consumer law, product safety); manage insurance and legal claims; improve our products and website; and, with your consent, send marketing communications. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time via the link in each email. Safety notices are not marketing and may still be sent.

Who we share it with

Service providers who help us run the business: payment processors (Stripe), delivery carriers and logistics providers, positioning and installation contractors, IT and website providers, and professional advisers (accountants, lawyers, insurers and brokers, including in connection with claims). Government agencies and regulators where required by law (including product safety regulators). We do not sell personal information.

Some providers store data overseas (for example, Stripe and cloud or email services operate in the United States and other countries). Where personal information is disclosed overseas, we take reasonable steps consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles to ensure it is handled in line with Australian privacy standards.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

The website uses cookies and similar technologies for essential functions, analytics and advertising. This includes tag management and analytics tools (such as Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics) and advertising pixels (such as LinkedIn and Meta), which may share limited browsing data with those platforms to measure and improve our marketing. You can manage cookies in your browser and adjust ad personalisation in your accounts with those platforms; some site features may not work with cookies disabled.

Sensitive information

We do not ask for health information. If you choose to provide it (for example, mentioning a medical condition in a support conversation, or details included in an incident report), we treat it as sensitive information: we use it only for the purpose you provided it (such as assisting you, product safety, or managing an incident or claim) and handle it with the additional care the Privacy Act requires.

Dealing with us anonymously

Where practicable, you can browse the website and make general enquiries without identifying yourself. We need your details to provide quotes, process orders, deliver products and administer warranties.

How we hold and protect it

Information is held in access-controlled business systems. We keep it only as long as needed for the purposes above and any legal retention periods. Product ownership, warranty, commissioning and safety records are retained for the product’s service life (and any longer period required for safety and liability purposes), because they enable safety notices and recalls years after purchase.

Access, correction and complaints

You may request access to, or correction of, your personal information by emailing info@fjord.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable time and will not charge for making a request. If you have a privacy complaint, contact us first and we will investigate and respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au, 1300 363 992).

Notifiable data breaches

If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the OAIC in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; the current version will always be at this page with its effective date.
