Fjord Ice Baths is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Technician to join our passionate team in creating the world’s finest ice baths. Based in Burleigh Heads, we design and manufacture premium, durable, and beautifully crafted ice baths for residential and commercial use, inspired by Nordic winter bathing and cold exposure therapy.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, proactive technician who thrives in a family-run, hands-on environment and is excited to contribute to a growing company that values quality, craftsmanship, and precision. This role will report directly to the Head of Production and includes full training and onboarding.

Based in the heart of Burleigh Heads, every Fjord product is proudly designed, engineered, and built in Australia by our expert team of fabricators, plumbers, electricians, and refrigeration technicians.

Founded by Danish-Australian brothers Nick and Dan, Fjord is shaped by their Nordic heritage, decades of commercial refrigeration and design experience, and a deep personal connection to the rituals of winter bathing.

Key Responsibilities

• Building & Manufacturing – Manufacture our range of premium cold therapy products end-to-end, including refrigeration systems, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical components.
• Servicing & Troubleshooting – Diagnose, repair, and fine-tune refrigeration systems to maintain peak performance and long-term reliability.
• Project Coordination – Oversee product builds, ensuring all tasks, components, and deadlines are well-coordinated and delivered to the highest standard.
• Digital Workflows – Use our ecosystem of digital tools and software to manage processes, track builds, and monitor production efficiency.

Key Qualifications 

• Minimum 3 years of qualified experience in refrigeration.
• Current Refrigeration & Air Conditioning license (ARCtick); restricted electrical license desirable.
• Strong technical ability with proven experience diagnosing, repairing, and optimising refrigeration systems.
• Ability to work independently while balancing hands-on tasks with project coordination and team collaboration.
• Strong organisational skills to manage deadlines and multiple builds simultaneously.
• Meticulous attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.
• Comfortable learning and using digital manufacturing systems.
• Current driver’s license, with flexibility for local and occasional interstate travel.

• Part-time or full-time role based in Burleigh Heads (Monday–Friday, 8-hour days).
